An absolutely amazing and insane day, hundreds of feet of straight rock faces climbed, adrenaline all the time, and I even felt very safe the whole time even though I was way off the ground. Amazing first experience outdoor climbing, Zane was also an amazing guide, he made the trip a lot more fun and relaxing throughout, highly suggest going.
Sylvan Rocks is awesome! When they say "Do something you never imagined you could!" on the website, they mean it! The single pitch AMGA guides Ryan and Ben were fantastic and I was able to summit multiple routes on my first attempt ever at climbing outdoors. I cannot recommend the climbing school enough as a fantastic addition to any trip to the Black Hills.
My husband and I did the 6-hour rock climbing day. We are novice climbers with minimal experience and felt this was perfect duration. We learned a ton from our guide, Chris. We very much appreciated the instruction with various equipment and terminology. Highly recommend this activity for those who want to get outdoors and try something truly special!
